Competition Pathway

At Futures Tennis Academy, competition is an essential part of player development. Our structured competition pathway allows players of all ages and standards to progress from their first match experience through to elite national and international tennis.

Whether your goal is social play, club competition, university tennis, or professional tennis, there is a pathway for every player.

01

Futures Starter Competitions

Hot Shots Leagues | Teenage Doubles | Fast4 Tennis

Our internal Friday competitions are the first step into match play. These supervised competitions are ideal for beginners, developing juniors, and teenagers wanting a fun and flexible competition format. For many players, this is their first experience representing themselves on court.

Players learn to:

  • Serve, rally and score
  • Understand match play
  • Build confidence competing
  • Develop a love for competition
02

Hot Shots Grand Slam Tournaments

Under 12

Our Mini Grand Slam tournament series provides young players with their first tournament experience.

Tournaments are played in a fun round-robin format with coach supervision, prizes, and multiple matches.

Events follow the professional calendar:

  • French Open
  • Wimbledon
  • US Open
  • Masters Events
03

Junior Association Competition

Under 18

The next stage of development is representing a club in official association competition.

Players compete in team environments across Saturday or Sunday fixtures through local tennis associations. Competitions run across Summer and Winter seasons and cater for all standards.

Players must:

  • Play full court tennis
  • Serve from the baseline
  • Be graded by Futures coaches

Many juniors transition from internal competitions into association teams as their skills develop.

Senior Club Competition

Competitive tennis continues beyond junior pathways with multiple adult competition options available.
