Wes Horskins

Wes Horskins is the Founder and Director of Futures Tennis Academy and one of Australia's most respected tennis coaches and industry leaders.

A former ATP touring professional, Wes competed internationally for six years, including appearances at Grand Slam events such as the Australian Open, and qualifying campaigns at Wimbledon and the French Open. He represented Australia at junior international level and was ranked No.1 junior in Victoria before transitioning into a lifelong career in coaching and player development.

With more than 40 years of experience in playing, coaching, and coach education, Wes has worked with players ranging from beginner Hot Shots participants through to internationally ranked professionals.

Wes is a Tennis Australia Master Club Professional — a prestigious recognition of coaching excellence — and has received multiple national and state coaching awards, including: Australian Tennis Awards – Hot Shots Coach of the Year, Club Coach of the Year, and Most Outstanding Tennis Centre/Club; TCAV Hall of Fame Inductee; and President, Tennis Coaches Australia.

Beyond coaching, Wes has played a significant role in shaping tennis nationally, serving on Tennis Australia advisory groups, mentoring coaches across Australia, and contributing to the development of modern coaching education programs.
