Shawn Cummings

Shawn Cummings is the Head Coach at Ardrie Park Tennis Club and brings more than 17 years of international coaching experience across grassroots, high-performance, and collegiate tennis environments.

A USPTA High Performance and PTR-certified coach, Shawn began his coaching career at the non-profit academy where he first learned to play tennis. After completing a Bachelor of Information Technology on a full tennis scholarship, he held leadership coaching positions at the John McEnroe Tennis Academy in Long Island and Gotham Tennis Academy in the Bronx.

He later transitioned into U.S. collegiate coaching at Molloy College and Pratt Institute, earning Conference Coach of the Year honours in consecutive seasons after leading both men's and women's teams to championship titles.

Following his move to Australia in 2015, Shawn joined a leading full-time high-performance academy in Sydney before joining Futures Tennis Academy. His broad coaching background allows him to connect with players of all standards while challenging them to reach levels they previously thought unattainable.
